Good afternoon! This week we have been talking about Personal Narratives as a writing genre. They will have to choose a "seed" story next week that they want to write about. You have seen some of this work in their writing homework notebook. We generate ideas for personal narratives through thinking about people, places and things that mean a lot to us and the memories that go with those people, places or things. We are going to start the year in math with an overall review of the four basic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. You may see some fact sheets coming home with them for homework, this is fluency work to keep their facts memorized. Let me know if you need flashcards at home to help them learn their math facts.
